Act 1: Letter 1: Tarot Cards hint 1
Hint 1: For this puzzle, you will need to use the tarot cards and map together. One of the tarot cards says, “when everyone sticks together…” This may mean the tarot cards all need to be used touching each other together in some way. Sometimes tarot cards’ magic can be increased by placing the cards over each other, overlapping the cards in a specific way.
ACT 1: LETTER 1: TAROT CARDS HINT 2
Hint 2: The vines on the Tarot cards seem to have great symbolism. Each has a different number of leaves. Cyrena’s letter said something about rivers turning to vines…can you connect them somehow?
ACT 1: LETTER 1: TAROT CARDS HINT 3
Hint 3: In Eldress, there is a land of six rivers to the west (left side) of the map. Place the tarot cards along the ends of those rivers so that the vines match up with them. The first river is the leftmost river. But which vine should connect with each of the six rivers?
ACT 1: LETTER 1: TAROT CARDS HINT 4
Hint 4: Each vine has a number of leaves on it. For example, the Farmer has a vine with one leaf. Place this card so that that vine lines up with the end of the first, leftmost river. Continue placing cards until you’ve put down all six. Then the eyes should tell you where to look. An eye on the farmer card points to “SN” of “SNIDE ROCK”, while the rest of the letters are covered up.

ACT 1: LETTER 1: TAROT CARDS HINT 5
Your final answer will be a 5-letter, liquid ingredient that matches what the eyes on the tarot cards point to.
ACT 1: answer explanation for LETTER 1: TAROT CARDS
Answer Explanation: Place tarot cards down one at a time on the map, so that the vine connects with the end of the river. Once you’ve placed all the tarot cards so that the vines on them match up with the ends of the river, the eyes will tell you where to look. An eye on the farmer card points to “SN” of “SNIDE ROCK”, while the other letters are covered up. The top eye on the sixth tarot card points to “AKES” in “LAKES END,” while the rest of the letters are covered up. Together, this spells SNAKES. The final large eye points to the names of the tarot cards next to it. If you’ve placed the tarot cards correctly, this should spell “FATAL FLUID.” A snake’s fatal fluid is VENOM.

ACT 1: LETTER 2a: Sigil of letters HINT 1
Hint 1: For this puzzle, you just need the letter with the strange set of large letters at the bottom. Cyrena mentions that she can’t keep track of the number of letters–perhaps this holds a clue?
ACT 1: LETTER 2A: SIGIL OF LETTERS HINT 2
Hint 2: Each letter appears a certain number of times.
ACT 1: LETTER 2A: SIGIL OF LETTERS HINT 3
Hint 3: “H” only appears once, so should be the first letter.
ACT 1: Answer explanation for LETTER 2A: SIGIL OF LETTERS
Answer: Cyrena mentions a clue that the number of letters is important. Each letter only appears a certain number of times. H appears once, so is the first letter. O appears twice, and is the second letter. N appears three times, and so is the third letter. Continuing in this way, the spell is the word HONESTY.
ACT 1: LETTER 2b: Map instructions HINT 1
Hint 1: You can only begin this part of the puzzle once you have figured out the Sigil of Letters and submitted your answer on the website.
Once you do, it looks like the map will be helpful with these new instructions. North is up on the map, while east is to the right, south to the bottom, and west to the left. Figuring out what unit of measurement corresponds to senchi will be helpful. Cyrena said thinking about it scrambled her brain…

Figuring out what unit of measurement corresponds to senchi will be helpful. Cyrena said thinking about it scrambled her brain…
ACT 1: LETTER 2B: MAP INSTRUCTIONS HINT 2
Hint 2: “Senchi” unscrambled spells “inches.” One senchi is one inch on the map. You’ll need to follow the instructions closely to discover each new location. Each correct location matches a symbol found on another sheet of paper you have received.
ACT 1: LETTER 2B: MAP INSTRUCTIONS HINT 3
Hint 3: First, moving three senchi, or inches, from Vulcan’s Breath places us in the Fortress of Ayla. This has a diamond symbol, so we should write “Fortress of Ayla” next to the diamond symbol line on the notecard of different symbols. Next, we must move nearly another dozen senchi, or inches, somewhere where we could meet a troll’s cousin–and ogre, perhaps? Continue writing down each location you find along the way on the notecard.
ACT 1: LETTER 2B: MAP INSTRUCTIONS HINT 4
Hint 4: Once you have written down the full name of the seven locations (do not include Vulcan’s Breath), you can find the answer. The list of symbols mentions that if we don’t know the answer, it is “at the end of the line.” Perhaps this could be more literal? The end of each location is what holds the key to the riddle’s answer.
ACT 1: answer explanation for LETTER 2B: MAP INSTRUCTIONS
Answer: Follow the directions along the path to figure out which location corresponds to each symbol. In the first step you must move nearly three senchi (or inches) east of Vulcan’s Breath. This will lead to the Fortress of Ayla which is depicted by a diamond. As a result, write Fortress Ayla on the blank next to the diamond on the paper. The full list of locations is:
(hourglass) – OGRE SWAMP
(diamond) – FORTRESS OF AYLA
(circle) – WHISTLER’S CORRIDOR
(triangle) – CYRENA’S HOME
(asterisk) – ELDRESS MOUNTAIN
(swirl) – THE SUMMIT
(square) – EVERFLOW WATER FALLS
Once all the symbols have been matched to the correct location, the “end of the line” or the final letter of each location from the top to the bottom spells out the answer to the riddle: PARENTS.

ACT 1: Maze and t-Square hint 1
Hint 1: For this puzzle, you will need to follow the instructions Cyrena provides closely. Use the separate t-square and maze to solve the puzzle. You will need to place the T-stone on the maze four times. When you do, the t-stone must fit completely within the maze, and no two orange blocks can be touching, and no two green blocks can be touching.
Cyrena can move through white spaces or the passageway square on the T-stone every time you place it. She will need to get to the Sun symbol by the end of four moves.

ACT 1: MAZE AND T-SQUARE HINT 2
Hint 2: When you place the T-stone the first time, the green part of the T-stone should overlap with another green block.
ACT 1: MAZE AND T-SQUARE HINT 3
Hint 3: Visit this link to see the first correct placement of the T-stone. Cyrena can move along the red arrow in this placement.
This gives you the letter “A” from your first move. All four correct letters are on a gray background, and the first two correct letters are next to each other.

ACT 1: MAZE AND T-SQUARE HINT 4
Hint 4: Here is the second move. Visit this link to see the second correct placement of the T-stone. Cyrena can move along the red arrow in this placement.
This gives you the letter “G” from your first move. Only two more moves to go!

ACT 1: Final Puzzle hint 1
Hint 1: The shapes in the grid seem to correspond with the final ingredients we gathered from the previous puzzles. Cyrena mentions she wanted to keep track of the three ingredients she gathered: venom, wafer, and tears. Can these fit in this grid somehow?
ACT 1: FINAL PUZZLE HINT 2
Hint 2: We got venom from Settler’s Wood, which is marked with a star with a triangle sticker now. We should write “Venom” next to the triangle shape in the grid. Where did we get the other ingredients from?
ACT 1: FINAL PUZZLE HINT 3
Hint 3: The words VENOM, WAFER, and TEARS should be written in that order on the grid from top to bottom. It looks like Cyrena needs to chant a 7 word phrase, beginning with “No,” and there are seven pieces of tracing paper.
ACT 1: FINAL PUZZLE HINT 4
Hint 4: If you place the tracing paper on the grid it appears that the dots indicate specific letters. And each tracing paper piece seems to have a certain number of cuts in it as well.
ACT 1: FINAL PUZZLE Answer explanation
Answer: If you place each piece of tracing paper over the grid it spells out different words. For example, overlapping the tracing paper with one cut in it, the dots will overlap with the letters “NO”. This paper has one cut in it, so is the first word of the phrase. Following this process with each piece of tracing paper, eventually you get the phrase: NO MORE FEARS – A NEW FATE NEARS. Enter “NOMOREFEARS” as the first three words when prompted, and “ANEWFATENEARS” as the final four words when prompted.
